The 3rd Round of Migratory Talks between the Republic of Cuba and Belize concluded this Thursday in Havana, headed by Ernesto Soberón Guzmán, Director of Consular Affairs and Cuban Residents Abroad, in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Dr. Gilroy Middleton, Chief Executive Officer of Immigration in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade and Immigration of Belize.
During the meeting, the behavior of the migratory flow between both countries was evaluated. The work sessions were held in a cordial and cooperative atmosphere, in accordance with the good state of bilateral relations.
Both parties stressed the importance of this type of meeting and reaffirmed the will to strengthen operational and comprehensive mechanisms for bilateral cooperation in topics related to migration, and consular affairs and to combat problems related to international irregular migration, as well as the commitment to ensure a regular, orderly, and safe migratory flow.
